Azerbaijan has fastest GDP growth in the CIS

Data from the first half of 2007 shows that Azerbaijan is leading among the CIS countries in terms of economic growth indicators. The country's GDP in the first half of 2007 is more than 35 percent over the figure from the first half of 2006. Armenia, second in the rankings, has a growth figure of less than half of Azerbaijan's. Armenia also has the lowest inflation rate, according to the news agency Regnum, while Georgia ranks fifth in this category.
