Do you think the elections in Adjara will be fair?

Monday, November 3
“I think that the elections in Adjara will be somehow fair as our Government does already have its own henchmen in Parliament and these 2 or 3 people won’t do their policy any harm”.
Tina, economist, 56

“I’m sure the elections in Adjara will not be fair, as with all the other elections, since the National Movement rigs everything 100%. If the elections were fair in Adjara it would mean that no one from Saakashvili’s clan would ever enter Parliament there, which of course will never happen as Saakashvili would never reconcile himself to such a great loss. He won’t care about the people’s will at all”.

“The election won’t be rigged in Adjara this time because lots of mistakes have already been made by our Government. They don’t need any complications and protest rallies after the elections. To my mind they will have enough supporters to win the elections without falsification.”
Natia, painter, 31

“Well, as no rules can address the actions or decisions of our Government, there’s a very great chance that these elections will be rigged like all the others in our recent past.”
Nodar, economist, 59

“I think that this election, as all previous ones, will be rigged. The Government has great interest in it. As their chance seems to be small, they’ll rig the results.”
Tea, actress, 28

“I have almost forgotten when we last had fair elections. It was after the Rose Revolution as I remember. Since then I always have the feeling that the elections are rigged. I’m almost sure that this time it will be the same in Adjara.”
Lado, pensioner, 69

“I hope that these elections in Tbilisi districts and Adjara region will be fair. The pre-election period was very calm, that is unusual for Georgia. We only have to hope that everything will be fine and the country is given the real results of the elections.”
