Saakashvili, Bokeria and Vashadze deceived people, say Conservatives

Sakartvelos Respublika writes that the Conservative Party has accused the Government of ignoring the issue of the return of refugees during the negotiations in Geneva, as Nino Goguadze, a party representative, stated at a press briefing.

“After the August war Georgia’s main issue at the negotiations in Geneva was the return of refugees. On February 18 the fourth session of these negotiations was completed. Nothing is said about the problem of refugee return in the official document signed by the sides. Mikheil Saakashvili, the President of Georgia, Grigol Vashadze, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and his deputy, Giga Bokeria, deceived people when they announced that their aim was the return of refugees,” Goguadze said.

Igor Giorgadze’s wife ready to sue Imedi TV

Sakartvelos Respublika writes that Igor Giorgadze’s wife is due to file a court action against Imedi TV.

Gela Nikoleishvili, a member of non-Governmental organization Former Political Prisoners for Public Rights, explained that Ketevan Giorgadze will bring an action, if Imedi TV does not withdraw comments it broadcast.

“Ketevan Giorgadze protests against the broadcasting of certain statements by Imedi. The station referred to Igor Giorgadze as a terrorist, whereas no court has accused him of that. The information that Giorgadze created the organization of Georgian people living in foreign countries is untrue. She also denies that she and her son left Georgia to hold consultations with this body. She claims that she is a non-political person,” stated Nikoleishvili.

Opposition youth will hound Saakashvili

Alia writes that opposition parties’ youth organisations are preparing to undertake continual protest actions. According to Lado Bulbulashvili, the head of the combined opposition youth organization, they await the return of the President from Brussels.

”Posters with the slogan Wanted and Saakashvili’s photo will be put up at the airport and all over Tbilisi. A hotline telephone number will be added and people will be able to phone and let us know where the President is at any given time. We will hold an action at that place; he does not feel comfortable,” Bulbulashvili added.
