Tuesday, April 21
On April 16 Iran and Armenia’s Transport Ministers signed an agreement on building a railway connecting the two countries. A feasibility study for this should be carried out in the next three months.

The length of the railway track will be 470 kilometres, 16 of which will be on Iranian territory and 410 in Armenia. The work should take 5 to 6 years and cost around USD 1.2 billion. The World Bank, Asian Development Bank and probably Russia will be the main stakeholders financing the project.
