Gas price increases in Armenia

By Messenger Staff
Monday, March 1
From April 1 this year Armenians will start paying more for gas. 1 cubic metre of natural gas currently costs about 24 cents but from April it will be 33 cents. This decision was taken on February 26 by the appropriate organisations in Armenia.

Gas prices will also increase for businesses. The regulatory commission explains this by saying that Russia has increased its natural gas price for Armenia from 154 USD per 1,000 cubic metres to USD 180. Another reason is the fact that the dollar has gone up dramatically in Armenia.
