Georgian wine export increased

Between January and August 2010, wine exports from Georgia increased by almost 40%. Wine has been exported into 37 countries and more than 9 million bottles were delivered abroad. In 2009, more than 6 million bottles were exported to 42 countries. The majority of Georgian wine is sold to Ukraine; it consumes more than 50% of Georgian wine exports, which is roughly 4.7 million bottles. Since 2009, exports to Ukraine have doubled. Georgia also exports wine to Kazakhstan which has already received 1.3 million bottles of Georgian wine in 2010.
