Azeri analyst Toghrul Sopiev stated that after the speech of Iran’s president at the 65th session UN general assembly, the tension around Iran might be increasing. Therefore Iran is trying to secure its relations with its bordering countries. Iran top level officials are planning visits to Baku and, according to Sopiev, Iran is trying to guarantee its security from the Azeri side. Sopiev also suggests that the current meeting of Turkish and Iranian foreign ministers also serves a similar purpose, as well as the meeting with the Georgian FM Grigol Vashadze.
