Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan remains the main route for transporting Caspian oil to world markets, reports SOCAR, the Azeri state oil company. For the first 10 months of 2010 Azerbaijan pumped a total of more than 27 million tonnes of oil through the pipelines. Of this, 23 million tonnes were transported through the BTC, 2.4 through Baku-Supsa (Georgia) and 1.7 through Baku-Novorosisk (Russia). During this period Azeri oil was not transported via Baku-Batumi railways.
