Georgia’s foreign trade turnover

Georgia’s foreign trade turnover for this year has so far not achieved the level recorded in 2008. However, trade turnover for January-October 2010 was more than USD 5 billion, which is 18 percent higher than the same period last year, but lower than during the same period of 2008. Georgia’s largest trading partner is Turkey; it is followed by Azerbaijan and Ukraine. The country’s main export is Ferro-alloys, followed by the re-export of cars and thirdly scrap metal. Georgia’s biggest import is of oil and oil products, followed by cars and pharmaceutical items.
