Bright future for Nakhchevan

The authorities of the autonomous republic Nakhchevan in Azerbaijan have claimed that, in the near future, Nakhchevan could become the 'Dubai of South Caucasus'. Its location on the border of Iran, Turkey and Armenia could make the ideal place to create free economic zones and a so called taxation and customs duty paradise. So far, the region has very intensive trade cooperation with Turkey and, if an appropriate policy is implemented by the central government of Azerbaijan, the dream could come true.
