David Bakradze Hosted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan

The Chairman of the Parliament, David Bakradze hosted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mamadiarov, who is in Georgia within the scope of the working visit. The parties discussed the issues of political and economic cooperation.
According to the statement of David Bakradze, Georgia and Azerbaijan successfully cooperate as in the sphere of energy supply, so in construction of railroad line and relation between the two countries becomes more active yearly. Elmar Mamadiarov expressed his content regarding the meeting and stated that powerful, successful and independent Georgia is the part of the national security and interests of Azerbaijan.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, prior to visiting the Parliament, held the meetings with his Georgian colleague, Grigol Vashadze.
The two ministers emphasized the success of co-operation between Georgia and Azerbaijan, and focused on a wide range of issues concerning bilateral political, economic, humanitarian and cultural relations. Discussions also addressed priority directions of co-operation between the two countries, as well as topical regional and international issues.
Mammadyarov and Vashadze held a joint press conference following their official meeting. `Two countries, which are strategic partners, are holding consultations for the development of economic and political relations, which have very firm roots,” Grigol Vashadze announced at the briefing.
