Russia plans to revive tourism in the North Caucasus

Moscow plans to revive tourism in the north Caucasus. In one year's time it plans to open the mountain resort of Arkhiz in Karachai Cherkesia, which would host an expected 1.5 million tourists annually, whereas in a couple of years, the north Caucasus will be able to host up to 10 million guests every year. Russian has very optimistic plans to transform the north Caucasus and in particular Arkhiz which they want to make the best mountainous resort not only in Russia but the entire world. The country estimates that around three billion dollars will be invested in the sector.
