Former head of the US State Department Henry Kissinger thinks that Turkey should fill up part of the vacuum which will be created when the US leaves Iraq and eventually Afghanistan. The American statesman stated his opinions during a conference in Istanbul. Kissinger welcomes the Turkish decision to allow NATO radio location devices on its territory. Concerning the dispute between Turkey and Israel, Kissinger stated that both sides have their share of guilt.
