8 suicides in 2 months

In the Gori region, 8 cases of suicide were reported in the last 2 months. Almost all of them were teenagers, Prime Time writes. The announcement was made by the emergency room chief Dr. Temur Taniashvili. According to the emergency service information the most frequent cases of suicide are hanging. The age range is 13 to 16 years. Taniashvili said that facts about suicide have significantly increased compared with last year. Doctors think it is necessary that psychologists get involved in teenagers’ lives, as there were a few cases when it was possible to save a life, it's mostly when dealing with cases of poisoning and drugs. But it should be pointed out that there are many cases of hanging and however strange it may seem, they are 13-14 years old girls. Temur Taniashvili explains that suicides are committed while being alone in almost all cases. Doctors are alarmed by the statistics and recommend persons working in schools and in the education system to introduction special psychological lessons in schools.
