Do you feel any financial relief from the reductions in utility bills during the winter period ?

Friday, February 1
“I do not feel any relief and stress about that, because my parents are paying the taxes and I do not have any connections, but as they do not complain I suppose that they feel relief.”
Rezi, student, 17

“Not yet, because the reductions the government gives are not enough but are better than nothing. I hope that there will be significant reductions as promised during the election campaign.”
Eka, teacher, 32

“Well, I really felt relief. I don't have a lot of extra money. During the New Year period I had to use a lot of gas and with the reductions I saved a lot of money. The Tbilisi Mayor’s Office assistance has been beneficial.”
Khatuna, Engineer, 45

“My gas bill this month was 70 GEL and all utilities together were 125 GEL. All this for one room that is only 20 square meters. I can only imagine how much a family that has got three and more rooms in their house has to pay. I haven't felt any relief."
Lasha, IT specialist, 29

“To tell the truth I have not felt any relief yet regarding utility bills.”
Irakli, Editor, 28

"Sure, decreased utility bills help a bit in winter as we have to use a huge amount of gas and electricity. It won't be so noticeable in summer though."
Nana, housewife, 52

“Even though I do not pay taxes in my family, I still feel relief in a moral way because we had really exorbitantly high utility bills."
Keti, PR Manager, 25
