According to the International Monetary Fund, an economic downfall in Russia will not affect the growth of GDP in Armenia this year. Overall, economic growth in the South Caucasus and Central Asia has slightly decreased in recent times.

In addition, analysts believe that if the European Union and the United States impose economic sanctions on Russia because of its subversive activities against Ukraine, the economic situation in these countries will deteriorate.

Analysts however, differ in their evaluations. Some think that it will influence the situation in other countries, while others challenge this opinion.
