Georgia’s joint projects with WB discussed in U.S.

The joint projects between Georgia and the World Bank were discussed during the working visit of Georgia’s Minister of Agriculture Otar Danelia to the U.S., the ministry told Trend on Sept.29.

During the meeting with Senior Director for WB Agriculture Global Practice Juergen Voegele and the senior agricultural specialist Peter Goodman, Danelia discussed the project for the development of the irrigation system and land market. The cost of this project is estimated at $63 million.

The sides emphasized the significance of the project in the development of agriculture.

A delegation of Georgian Ministry of Agriculture is on a working visit to the U.S. The delegation includes Deputy Minister of Agriculture Nodar Kereselidze, head of the National Agency for Food Zurab Chekurashvili and others.
