Georgia’s oil and gas corporation starts rehabilitation of main gas pipeline

Thursday, October 2
Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation started the rehabilitation works at the 25-kilometer stretch of the Red Bridge-Marneuli main gas pipeline (border with Azerbaijan).

Some 20 percent of the work has already been completed.

On Sept. 30, the corporation said the work is being carried out by the Komfortmshen 21 company, which won an earlier announced tender.

The works are expected to be completed within seven months.

The Red Bridge-Tsalka-Akhalkalaki gas pipeline was built in 1978. It delivers gas to the south of Georgia. (Trend.az)
