Friday, October 3
The national airline of the United Arab Emirates plans to initiate the Tbilisi-Abu Dhabi flights.

The flights will be made on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays by Airbus 320 with 16 seats in business class and 120 - in economy class.

Etihad Airways has been operating in other Caucasus countries. It has been making flights to Yerevan since July 3, 2013, and will start making flights to Baku from October 1, 2015.

“The intensified activity in the Caucasus region is due to the growing commercial interest of the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East in this region, as well as boost in tourism,” the company's president James Hogan said.

“Etihad Airways is pleased that Tbilisi will soon join our global network,” he said. “We are sure that the business and cultural ties between the UAE and Georgia will be intensified."

“It will be possible to fly to India, Asia and North America via Abu Dhabi,” the company said. (Trend.az)
