Cyber Security “Locked Shields 2015“

The representatives of the Cyber Security Bureau of the Ministry of Defence of Georgia took part in the international cyber defence training “Locked Shields 2015 “held in Estonia. The Georgian side was represented in the capacity of an observer. The agreement regarding Georgian representatives’ involvement in the international exercise was reached during the Bureau`s visit in Estonia on 10-12 December, 2014.

Locked Shields is a real-time network defence exercise, organized annually since 2010 by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence. More than 400 representatives of 16 nations and NATO Computer Incident Response Capability participated in it.

Within “Locked Shields 2015“, defence teams were tasked with protecting the networks from more than one thousand attacks. As a result of 15 different injects, the information over one thousand threats were elaborated. In addition to technical challenges, Locked Shields also includes media and legal injects.

In the frames of the visit in Estonia, the MoD Cyber Security Bureau representatives held the meeting in the NATO CCDCOE in the E-Governance Academy and E-Estonia Showroom. The meeting was also held with the leaders of Cyber Defence League.
