Georgian food delights at Riga Food Fair

Georgia’s presence in the international world is growing thanks to its increasing presence in international food shows and trade fairs.

This week Georgia will man a stall at the 20th Riga Food Fair – an annual international fair bringing together cuisine from all over the world.

The September 2-5 event is the Baltic region’s largest food show and this year is hosting cuisines from 37 nations.

Georgian juice and jam company Kula, nut factories Nutex, Euronuts and Saga-2008, beer manufacturer Zedazeni and mineral water producer Tskali Margebeli will represent the country and establish contacts with future European trading partners.

The Georgian corner will also encompass a variety of other products including, tea, lemonade, mineral water, energy drinks, beer varieties, jams, nuts and other food products.

The Riga Food Fair is a popular event and is expected to be attended by more than 40,000 visitors over the course of the four-day expo.

Event organisers said the fair will outline the trends of the food industry development and unite more than 682 companies to taste new products, watch and learn from professional chefs and participate in pastry cooking and bartender competitions. (Agenda.ge)
