Strong winds hit western Georgia on November 20-21; several buildings were unroofed there.

No injuries or fatalities were reported, but the strong wing caused temporal suspension of some flights from Kutaisi International Airport.

Dozens of houses were left without roofs in Imereti and Samegrelo, as well as Samtredia and in coastal area of Poti.

Special commissions are working now to estimate the cost of the damage.

Weather forecasts predict that there will be snowfall in Tbilisi on November 22-23, with windy days in western Georgia continuing through to November 23.

An electricity provider company, Energo-Pro-Georgia, has announced that electricity lines were damaged in the Kutaisi, Samtredia, Khoni, Vani, Tskaltubo, Zugdidi and Senaki municipalities.

The company stressed its employees were working to timely restore electricity provision.
