First Georgian Whiskey JIMSHER Named among the World’s Best Strong Drinks

JIMSHER, the first Georgian whiskey, has been named among the world’s ten top strong drinks.

JIMSHER has won the first golden medal at the Global Travel Retail Spirits Masters contest. JIMSHER in brandy barrel and JIMSHER in Tsinandali barrel have won the silver medal. JIMSHER in Saperavi Barrel has won the main prize – the golden medal.

We remind you that Georgia’s first whiskey brand was developed by businessman Jimsher Chkhaidze.

The company plans to expand JIMSHER whiskey production. The brand founder Jimsher Chkhaidze plans to build a whiskey distilling and malt processing plant on 3-hectare territory in Gardabani by investing 4mln GEL. The new plant will create 100 new job places.

At this stage, barley has been planted on 150 hectares in Kakheti Region so as the company use only domestically produced raw materials. (cbw.ge)
