Russia’s Kazan city to launch flights to Georgia, Armenia& Belarus

(KAZAN, Russia) – Direct flights between Kazan - the capital of central Russia’s mainly Muslim republic of Tatarstan - and Georgia, Armenia and Belarus will begin in 2018, the Tatar Minister of Transportation Lenar

Safin said in an interview with local media outlets.

“We hope to expand the geographical scope of flights (to and from Tatarstan),” said Safin.

Located on the Volga River, 820km east of Moscow, Kazan is one of Russia’s largest cities as well as a major industrial, sport and transport hub.
