Georgian Companies at Qatar International Exhibition

Georgian Food and Drink Companies took part in International exhibition ‘AGRITEQ QATAR’ on March 20-22. The Georgian companies were supported by Enterprise Georgia - the agency of Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

The companies had a chance to promote Georgian Products internationally.

LTD Mitera and LLC Alturas (mutton production), LLC Georgian Agro House (vegetable production), LLC Uvis Beri (fruit and vegetable production), LLC Zekari Springs and LLC Plate (branded Georgian springs) promoted their products.

LTD Mitera was founded in 2005. The company produces meat products. Origin of the products is livestock grown on the natural food in the mountains.

Georgian Agro House LLC is a distribution and wholesale company for fresh fruits and vegetables based in Georgia, which possess a full service packing house. Georgian quality products are distributed in all sales channels through the country on a daily basis. Company exports to Russian, Ukrainian and Armenian markets. Main products are cucumber, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, eggplant, summer squash, etc.

It is worth mentioning that Enterprise Georgia permanently organizes similar events in order to popularize Georgian products. The agency develops a corresponding platform for acquiring new trade partners and establishing new contacts as well.

The sixth edition of Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition (AgriteQ 2018) took place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) with over 313 exhibitors from at least 36 countries participating, a hundred percent increase compared to last year’s edition.

The event furnishes an ideal opportunity for industry specialists to explore a wide range of agricultural technologies, equipment and related products, meet key decision-makers, gain valuable insights, and discover the best practices.

Over the past years, the exhibition has become a global event and a new achievement for Qatar, which increasingly attracts more investors seizing promising business opportunities in the country’s agricultural sector.
