Sokhumi looks at Zurabishvili’s presidency optimistically

Sokhumi, unlike Tskhinvali, looks at Zurabishvili’s presidency in an optimistic way.

“We want to believe that some values will be re-analyzed by the new president in Georgia. Also, the dialogue between Abkhazia and Georgia will have a positive basis with participation of mediators in the negotiations,” stated the so-called Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, Daur Kove on Georgia's election results.

He added that aggressive attitude of the Georgian authorities towards Abkhazia, the international isolation and restricted freedom of movement still takes place there.

The so-called “president” of the Russian-backed “South Ossetian Republic” (“Tskhinvali region”), Anatoly Bibilovdoes not believe that any changes will take place, adding that does not matter who becomes the president of Georgia because "they will not recognize South Ossetia".
