Ankara-Tbilisi-Ankara by Turkish Airlines

The national flag carrier airline of Turkey – Turkish Airlines is adding new Ankara-Tbilisi flights to its wide network.

Ankara-Tbilisi flights are planned to be operated twice a week on Mondays and Fridays in both directions as from 18th January 2019.

The tickets for these particular flights are available on Turkish Airlines’ sales offices and online sales channels.

Two flights, TK374 (Ankara-Tbilisi) and TK375 (Tbilisi-Ankara), are scheduled from January 18th.

It is worth mentioning that there were no direct flights for Ankara-Tbilisi-Ankara destinations and the visitors had to purchase connecting flights as well as travel by bus or other forms of transportation, in order to access the locations.

Georgian Ambassador to Turkey, Giorgi Janjgava, held a meeting with Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and discussed various topics, including new direct flights between Ankara and Tbilisi.

Turkish Airlines is the national flag carrier airline of Turkey. Established in 1933 with a fleet of five aircraft, Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines has a fleet of 330 (passenger and cargo) aircraft flying to 306 worldwide destinations as 49 domestic, and 257 international in 124 countries.

As of 2018, it operates scheduled services to 304 destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, making it the largest carrier in the world by the number of passenger destinations.

The company launched its first service in Georgia in 1997 with its inaugural Istanbul-Tbilisi flight and now operates 30 flights in a week to Tbilisi and 7 flights in a week to Batumi.

Turkish Airlines operates daily flights from Tbilisi International Airport to Istanbul, Ataturk and Sabiha Gokcen airports.
