Luka Okros to perform works by Schubert and Liszt

Luka Okros, one of the most promising pianists of his generation, returns to Tbilisi.
London-based Georgian pianist will hold a concert in Tbilisi within the frames of his European concert season, presenting works by Schubert and Liszt.
The concert will take place on April 6 at Tbilisi State Conservatoire
Luka performs in Tbilisi on a regular basis. His piano recital took place in April at the Grand Hall of the Tbilisi State Conservatoire.
Born in 1991 in Tbilisi, he began his piano studies at the age of 4. At the age of 5 Luka gave his first public performance and at 6 he made his debut with the Tbilisi State Orchestra under Revaz Takidze.
After graduating from the London Royal College of Music and the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the Art Council of England has granted him the Exceptional Talent Visa.
In addition to his career as a concert pianist, Luka works on creating an album of his own compositions. One of the pieces was filmed and premiered by Het Concertgebouw’s Sessions. Scores of his works are published by the UK-based company Master Music Publications.
Highlights of 2018/19 season include recitals in Europe and Asia including – Hong Kong (HK City Hall), Oslo (Konserthus), Vienna (Konzerthaus), Brussels (Bozar), Helsinki (Musiikkitalo), Budapest (Liszt Academy), Tbilisi (Conservatory), Kiev (Philharmonic), Berlin (Konzerthaus), Luxembourg (Philharmonie), Beijing (Conservatory), Amsterdam (Het Concertgebouw), London (Southbank Centre), Montevideo (Theatre Solis), Reykjavik (Harpa), Paris (Salle Cortot).
Luka Okros’s CD of works by Schumann was released on DiscAuverS Records and presented in Salle Cortot, Paris, in autumn 2016. This CD was highly acclaimed by many music lovers and professional musicians, including a “four out of four” in the French magazine «Classica».
New CD with works by Chopin will be released this summer in London.
Apart from Georgia, Luka has upcoming concerts in Hungary, Ukraine, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, etc.
