Footage depicting the personal life of the Georgian politician was once again posted on one of the websites and can still be seen by the internet users.

This video was uploaded two weeks ago and has over 6,000 views at this time.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) stated they are well aware of the spread of a video showing private life in the social network and will respond to it within its competence.

Deputy Interior Minister, Natia Mezvrishvili also commented on the case. According to her, an underage person has been detained for uploading the video to YouTube.

As Mezvrishvili told journalists, the teenager pleaded guilty. According to her, a mobile phone of the detained was seized and investigative activities are being carried out.

"There is no personal interest in this. The ordinary citizen has been arrested for uploading the video to YouTube,” she explained.

In early February, 17 people were detained over the sex tape leak, which allegedly shows the former member of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party, Eka Beselia.

In a statement released on February 1, the Interior Ministry said the detainees were circulating the video recording via social networks and mobile phone applications.

The ministry said the disclosure of recordings containing private life is an offense under the Georgian legislation and is punishable by imprisonment from 4 to 8 years.

Out of the detained, seven were ordered by Tbilisi City Court to imprisonment while the rest were released on bail.

Beselia’s personal life video was first uploaded in late January, and as the MP claims, it was recorded under the United National Movement (UNM) government.
