Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia left Sergey Gavrilov’s speech in protest

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in Georgia, Ihor Dolhov left the palace in protest for state ceremonies in Tbilisi, where Russian State Duma deputy Sergey Gavrilov was about to deliver a speech.

The event was taking place within the frames of the 26th session of the Inter-Parliamentary General Assembly.

The Ambassador said that he did not want to hear the words of the representative of the Russian Federation.

According to Dolhov, Russia continues to occupy Ukraine and Georgia, which contradicts all international law norms.

A protest rally, objecting to the arrival of Russian MP Sergey Gavrilov in Georgia also took place on June 19. The demonstrators noted that Gavrilov is Putin’s “ideological ally.”



Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance Of Georgia has Charged 23 Entrepreneurs

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, six companies have been found guilty of fabrication and use of fraudulent tax documents and legalization of illicit income.

23 entrepreneurs have been charged. Seventeen people have been detained, and 6 were charged in absentia.

The investigation determined that the accused persons, to receive a large amount of illegal material benefit, registered companies in different regions of Georgia, and after that, they manufactured and used forged tax documents.

Investigative Service claims that the amount of fraudulent asset equals more than 85 000 000 GEL, resulting in the loss of tens of millions of GEL to the state budget.

Appropriate measures are being taken to identify other companies’ and individuals’ activities.
