Electronic Music Festival to be held at Petra Fortress

Regional Electronic Music Festival will be held on August 10 in Petra Fortress in Adjara. This type of festival has never been held at this place before.

Several well-known artists will play at the festival, including KAVEl, GIORGI DEVADZE, ORIM, ZAPA, YANAMASTE, Boyd Schidt, NEWA, FABRIZIO LAPIANA. The price of the ticket will range from 30 to 50 GEL.

According to organizers, the separate exhibition space will be arranged for artists in the territory. Their works will be revived by 3D projectors.

“GR-Fest is for those who already love this culture, as well as for those who are planning to fall in love with it,” noted the organizers.

Petra Fortress is located in the village of Tsikhisdziri in the Kobuleti district of Ajara. Built during the 6th century A.D., it held an important strategic position at the crossroads of the route linking Georgia with Iran and Armenia. The fortress represents one of the most significant monuments on the entire eastern coast of the Black Sea.



First aid medical boxes in Batumi

First aid medical care boxes have been placed in Batumi Boulevard.

The goal of the project is to increase social responsibility and to teach Georgian citizens first aid and emergency medical care skills. For the same reason, free training of about 1000 students began on July 1 and will be conducted gradually.

A memorandum was signed between Batumi Boulevard and Batumi Referral Hospital regarding this project. During the signing of the memorandum, it was stressed that 4 out of 5 people can not save others, “this is the statistics that should be changed.”



State Security Service detains a citizen of Armenia for illegal handling of radioactive substances

According to information released by the State Security Service, Investigation has been launched in the Counterintelligence Department of the State Security Service of Georgia on the basis of the alarm of radiation detection portal at the border-crossing point “Sadakhlo” at Georgia-Armenia state border, into the fact of illegal handling of radioactive substances and breach of customs regulations.

The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal handling and transportation of radioactive substances (Article 230 paragraph I and Article 214 paragraph IV of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages from 5 to 10 years of imprisonment)”, reads the statement released by State Security Service.

The investigation is carried out by the Counterintelligence Department of the State Security Service of Georgia.
