Data Fest Tbilisi 2019

The third edition of the leading international data festival in Eastern Europe and Central Asia returns with its bigger version.

The event will take place on 14-16 November in the historic buildings of Tbilisi State University.

EU Neighbors East is partnering again with ForSet to support up to 35 civil society activists from the EaP countries to attend DataFest Tbilisi 2019.

The event is organized by ForSet, Tbilisi Startup Bureau and MaxinAI.

The festival gathers journalists, CSO activists, marketing specialists, business professionals, government officials, data analysts, developers, and designers come together for a massive three days of inspirational talks, workshops, keynotes, networking, and pretty much everything related to data and communications.

The festival will cover various topics including Data Storytelling Data Visualization Data Science & AI Data & FinTech Data for Business & Marketing Data & Cyber Security Open Data & Data-Driven Policy Making Data for Human Rights Data Startups Data for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Data in Healthcare/Medicine Data for Smart Cities.

The participants will have a chance to learn about new trends and best practices in data journalism, data application in the policy-making process, data science and AI, data visualization, data application for marketing and business, data and cybersecurity – and much more.

Speakers will include researchers from Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Lab, Developer from Data4Change, quality assurance engineer from Questrada and head of analytics of Visa CIS, etc.

Last year’s edition of Data Fest included inspirational talks, workshops, marathons, and other interesting activities.

ForSet is a team-oriented socially-driven creative enterprise specializing in data communications using design and technology. Their competences cover storytelling, advocacy campaigns, educational programs, community building, and open-source tools.
