Disinfection in Tbilisi public schools

Intensive disinfection works have begun in Georgian public schools, the Ministry of Education said. According to the ministry, general education institutions are disinfected using up to 10 different disinfectants. On February 29, according to the decision of the Interagency Coordination Council, spring holidays were prolonged in Georgian public schools for disinfection works. The holidays will last from March 2 to March 16. Intensive disinfection will be carried out in all public schools of Georgia during this period. The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli addressed the higher and vocational schools and private schools with the recommendation of disinfection works.



Condition of all three infected with coronavirus is stable

19 patients remain in quarantine in Tbilisi Infectious Hospital. Marina Endeladze, head of the boxing department of the infectious hospital, told reporters.

According to her, the health status of all patients, including all three people infected with coronavirus, is stable.

“Blood tests were performed on 14 patients today in two stages. All of them tested negative. Currently, there are 19 patients to be examined. We are still waiting for the response of 8 patients. Everyone's health is stable and we have enough places in the hospital so far. The three infected are also in a stable condition. There are 19 patients at the moment, but there is an influx. Everyone is a citizen of Georgia. Most of the cases are from Italy and Iran,” said Endeladze.
