A coalition of major political groups in Georgia has released a joint statement outlining the principles of a new agreement aimed at challenging the Georgian Dream government. The "Alliance of Democratic Opposition Parties" includes several prominent entities, such as Akhali, Girchi-More Freedom, Droa, European Georgia, the United National Movement, the National Democratic Party, Freedom Square, Strategy Agmashenebeli, and the Federalists.

The document states that the group's primary purpose is to end what they describe as Bidzina Ivanishvili's autocratic regime. The alliance also aims to restore Georgia's Euro-Atlantic course and ensure democratic governance, national security, and the well-being of its citizens.

The agreement is built on several core principles, starting with "unity without uniformity". Under this rule, the various parties will keep their own ideological identities but follow a single strategy for protests and public communication.

"Today, the Alliance of Democratic Opposition Parties of Georgia agrees on a common strategy and joint rules of action and declares that through our collective efforts we will liberate Georgia from Bidzina Ivanishvili's autocratic regime," the statement read.

According to the alliance, their goal is to prove to both the Georgian public and international partners that they are a "democratic alternative to Ivanishvili's oligarchic and autocratic regime." They argue that only a democratic movement focused on the interests of citizens can successfully defeat the current leadership.

The participating parties also signed a code of conduct to govern how they interact with one another and establish clear accountability. Decision-making within the group will be based on equality among all participants, staying free from any external influences.

The coalition expressed a commitment to reaching a broad societal consensus through public involvement. They stated that their ultimate objective is to win "free and fair elections" and form a democratic coalition government to carry out national reforms.

"The opposition alliance will fight to the end until the release of political prisoners and victory in free and fair elections," the statement concluded.
