The November 11 Black Sea storm, which sunk a number of ships and caused more to run aground, did not affect cargo destined for Armenia, Yerevan says.
The Armenian Transport and Communication Ministry said conditions have improved at Kavkaz seaport and the SMAT ferry service on the Kavkaz–Poti route would resume on November 15, according to the news agency Regnum.
The Kavkaz–Poti ferry route, which began operating earlier this year, was conceived as a trade channel between Armenia and Russia after Moscow imposed a land, sea and rail embargo on Georgia in October 2006.
