Economic Development Minister Giorgi Arveladze has stated that the imposition of emergency rule—due to be lifted at seven in the evening on November 16—did not affect cargo transit in Georgia.
“Despite declaring the state of emergency, cargo transit from Azerbaijan, Turkey and Armenia via Georgia has not experienced any problems,” Arveladze promised, according to the news agency Regnum.
The Interior Ministry has reportedly stepped up security measures for cargo in transit in Georgia.
