Ceyhan oil export reaches 38.5 million tons

In January over 2.6 million tons of oil shipped out from the Turkish port of Ceyhan. A total of 38.5 million tons of oil have been exported from Ceyhan to date, according to Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR, the news agency Regnum reports.
The Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan pipeline went online in summer 2005, taking Caspian Sea oil 1 768 kilometers through Azerbaijan and Georgia to the Mediterranean Sea for export to Europe.
SOCAR recently announced it fulfilled all its oil production and delivery targets in January.
