Russian, Iranian and Azerbaijani delegations will meet in Baku from May 26–27 to discuss the International North–South Transport Corridor (INSTC).
A representative of Azerbaijani Railways said the three sides are scheduled to discuss future cooperation on the project, which involves the construction of the Kazvin–Resht–Astara railway section, between Iran and Azerbaijan, as well as customs checkpoints.
The INSTC was established in 2000 between Iran, Russia and India, with the goal of promoting cooperation in transport issues among its member states. It has since expanded to comprise 11 members, with Azerbaijan joining in 2005.
