Enough fuel entering from Azerbaijan

The war with Russia has increased the demand on fuel. The blocking of Poti port has stopped the European supply of fuel but no deficit has thus been created as oil product supply from neighbouring Azerbaijan has exponentially increased. Indeed the volume of fuel imports has actually grown, assures the Chairman of the Oil Importers and Producers Union Vano Mtvralashvili.
Georgia is still being supplied with all types of petrol apart from premium grade, as this is what is imported from Europe. However Georgia has still one month’s reserve of this type of petrol available.
Petrol stations continue to work in their usual pattern, day and night. There have been cases however of Russian occupiers looting diesel fuel for their tanks in the areas under their control.
The world petrol price decrease has touched Georgia as well. Georgian petrol prices have gone down by 5-10 tetri.
