Natelashvili asks for visits to America without visa

Opposition leader Shalva Natelashvili thinks Georgia has been cheated as a geopolitical partner by the US, Sakartvelos Respublika writes. He is demanding that the American authorities establish a visa-free travel regime with Georgia.

At a press conference Natelashvili reminded journalists that U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Fried is in Tbilisi at present. “Saakashvili’s puppet government has sacrificed Georgian interests to the Russian –American struggle for priority. Georgia has paid a great price to support America: it has lost territories and the Russian market. It’s important to find a substitute market for Georgia.”

Natelashvili demands that America signs a free trade agreement with Georgia.

Freedom for water

The Head of Gori Municipality, Davit Khmiadashvili, has confirmed that the water provision has been restored in Gori villages after two days of blockade, 24 saati writes.

The Shida Kartli administration makes no comment on why the Ossetian separatists, who control the supply, have restored water provision to these Georgian villages. They had been demanding 50 thousand Rubles from the Georgian Government before this was done.

The water is flowing through the system, but the Gori population is still hesitating to use it before it has been properly checked.
