Azerbaijan to buy Georgian hydroelectric stations

Azerbaijan intends to participate in the privatization of Georgian hydroelectric power stations. Vice President of Azerenergy joint stock company Marlen Askerov has announced this, and after discussion in the Azeri Government the final decision will be taken.
Askerov stated that the Georgian side wants to privatize and sell Enguri power station and suggested that Azerbaijan participate in the auction. Azerbaijan has agreed in principle. The Azerenergy works very efficiently in Azerbaijan, where it provides and distributes electricity.
