At the end of October the Association of Young Georgian Economists polled 1,000 entrepreneurs. The aim of this was to evaluate the results of the August war. It turned out that despite the problems businessmen are quite optimistic.
According to 18% of the polled entrepreneurs, the conflict did not affect their businesses. 19% think they will be able to recover in 3-6 months.
The respondents considered that generally, for the private sector, 6 months will be needed for rehabilitation, however the period will differ according to the specific business sphere. 66% of trade sphere respondents said they will be able to rehabilitate their businesses in 6 months, but 18% of the tourism sphere representatives think they will need more than 18 months to recover.
