Only 16% of Georgian population insured

The ACT marketing and consulting company conducted a poll of 1,800 adults at the end of 2008 which asked whether the respondent had taken out any form of insurance. Only 16% of those who replied said that they had.
Health insurance is the popular form in Georgia according to the poll results, but only 1 in 15 private cars are insured.
