Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin has expressed his skepticism towards the EU’s Eastern Partnership Programme and talks about its similarities with the CIS.
Voronin also expressed his doubts about the European prospects of the three South Caucasus countries. He did however highlight Moldova’s considerable progress towards European integration. He stressed that the neutral status of Moldova prevented it from entering into any type of collective security treaty but at the same time expressed his interest in participating in investment, energy and transport projects.
