As it known the Alliance for Georgia is conducting a plebiscite, asking people if they agree that snap Presidential elections should be held. Representatives of the Alliance state that according to preliminary information more than 400,000 citizens of Georgia with voting rights have answered the question, and out of this figure 348,509 (86.52%) gave a positive answer and 54,394 (13.48%) a negative one. 176,000 of these respondents were Tbilisi residents. Alliance for Georgia activists are conducting the plebiscite from door to door.
Alliance leaders think that this data already gives them grounds to suggest that the majority of Georgian citizens support the idea of snap elections and therefore these elections should facilitate the resolution of the present crisis.
