Turkey will join NABUCCO project

Turkey hopes to join the NABUCCO project by June 2009. If European Union countries express a readiness to respond to Turkish proposal by April the country can sign the agreement by June, said the Turkish Minister for Energy in essence.
The Minister also highlighted that there are no problems between Turkey and Azerbaijan in the energy sphere, quoting the meeting scheduled for April in Istanbul. At this meeting representatives of Greece, Italy, Azerbaijan and Turkey will discuss the further exploitation of the Shah Deniz oil field.
