US Special Envoy Richard Morningstar has stated that the NABUCCO project’s participating countries are not prepared to include Iran as a potential supplier of natural gas. He added that Iran could be included in energy projects only if it refuses to proceed with its nuclear projects.
During the NABUCCO project signing ceremony on July 13 in Ankara Turkish PM Erdogan suggested that he would like to see Iran as one of the suppliers of natural gas for NABUCCO. However Morningstar immediately rejected the possibility of such a move.
