New rules for receiving postage parcels have been introduced in Georgia and they will become operative in August. The companies involved in transporting parcels will be able to conduct any formalities through a computer electronically. The same applies to individuals purchasing goods through e-commerce.
From August 10 there will be a new customs tariff schedule. Imported goods worth less than GEL 300 will be free of customs duty, whereas goods worth more than GEL 300 will bear it.
