Armenian MP Stepan Saparian, Secretary of the Heritage faction in the Armenian Parliament, suggests that the recent warming of Russian-Turkish relations has led to a certain coolness in Georgian-Turkish relations. Saparian advises Turkey to calm down Georgia and explain that a Russian-Turkish partnership is no threat to it.
Saparian added that there are many problems in Armenian-Turkish relations which have still not been sorted out. We can comment however that his concerns about Georgia are groundless. Georgia and Turkey continue to work together in a very good, friendly and good-neighbourly manner.
