Experts from the European Commission have positively assessed the feasibility study for an oil transportation corridor submitted by Ukraine and based on the Odessa-Brody oil pipeline which would pump oil from Odessa to Brody. The experts liked the approach taken in the feasibility study of creating this transport corridor step by step.
Presumably Georgians can take a piece of this potential financial cake itself. It is most likely that Caspian oil will initially be transported to Odessa through the Baku-Supsa pipeline, which runs through Georgia.
So far the Brody-Odessa oil pipeline is operating in the reverse direction: Russia transports its oil to Odessa for further transit by sea. The new project envisages sending oil through the pipeline in the direction intended.
